Lundbeck Australia is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to support the Finance Manager.  As the financial accounting, management accounting and tax expert, you will be exposed to the broader business and offered the opportunity to grow and develop in line with your career objectives. Summary

To act as a fully independent Senior Financial Accountant for Lundbeck AUS and NZ providing high quality reporting and compliance for the Statutory & Group accounts and Management Accounts. Further provide proactive & high quality business and decision support. Assist and support the Finance Manager in managing financial reporting, planning/forecasting to Managing Director & Regional Vice President, together with coordinating Finance & Supply related support through a small team of assistants.

Dimension of the role

The role is broad with reporting and communication required at all levels right up to the Managing Director. The role will report to the Finance Manager. The financial tasks that this candidate will be completing should be considered as “end-to-end” with a wide range of financial tasks being completed from sales reporting (weekly & monthly) & trend analysis through to preparing of General Ledger reconciliations and assisting in the preparation of the Forecast/Budget packs and being responsible for the whole supply chain.

In addition to month end responsibilities, quarterly forecasts and the annual plan, there will be ad hoc requests from Management for business analytics information.

Your job and key responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the Monthly Reporting Pack.
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain, including securing accurate stock levels and maintain/reconcile inventory in collaboration with DHL
  • Monthly reconciliations of accounts including partnership reconciliations
  • Maintenance of the chart of accounts.
  • Prepare Cash Forecast and manage funds
  • Maintain master data in SAP
  • Perform month end activities within own area
  • Reconcile Intercompany payments
  • Prepare Tax and VAT payments
  • Prepare and report FBT
  • Assistance in preparing Transfer Pricing Documentation
  • Improve the processes around Month and Year End
  • Responding to finance queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & third parties
  • Secure compliance in line with internal procedures and legislation
  • Take coordinating/leading roles in projects/improvement initiatives etc.

Qualifications

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Business, Majoring in Accounting
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • Strong attention to details and excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal direction
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving
  • Able to work with tight deadlines and with switching priorities
  • Proactive and creative in terms of improving processes
  • Team player
  • Supply Chain Experience is desirable
