Health Economist - part time

Health Economist

Lundbeck Australia currently has a part time position available for a Health Economist to join our team, reporting to the Medical Affairs Director.  As a Health Economist you will be required to have comprehensive knowledge of Market Access and the ability to execute highly complex or specialised projects with a focus on developing solutions.  Demonstrating your ability to think strategically and with a high level of technical proficiency.

 As a Health Economist your role will be responsible for:

  •  Building relationships with key external bodies as well as local and global internal stakeholders.
  •  Identifying and recommending new business opportunities specifically relating products eligible for Government subsidies.
  •  Providing health outcomes advice and developing reimbursement strategies for Lundbeck products.
  •  Developing innovative pricing strategies for Lundbeck products.

 The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 3-4 years in the pharmaceutical industry in an equivalent role
  • Excellent understanding of pricing and reimbursement in Australia, including the PBS and PBAC processes
  • Experience in mental health is highly beneficial
  • Tertiary qualifications in pharmacy, health sciences, health economics, or medicine
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation, including the ability to successfully build a network with international colleagues
  • Highly developed organisational skills

The position is part time and based in our offices at North Ryde.
