Junior Data Scientist

Lundbeck’s Research Informatics group  is seeking a junior data scientist.  You will be part of a team of specialists  responsible for the operation, development and implementation of informatics solutions within the Lundbeck’s research organization.
This operational role is located at our headquarters in Valby, Denmark.

Your job and key responsibilities
Your top priority will be to support research scientists with existing set of IT applications. In addition, you and the team will work together to develop software/IT solutions or implement commercial applications that facilitate the capture, harmonisation, integration, globalisation and visualisation of Research data.
With your role, you will  be interacting with scientists across Lundbeck. While maintening existing solutions and developing/implementing additional tools, you will also be part of the change management to roll out these solutions in other departments.
You will report to the Director of research informatics and work closely with the other team members.

Your qualifications
Our preferred candidates have the following degree, personal and professional qualifications:

  • Master of Science (MSc) in fields like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science
  • Programming experience with for example Python, JAVA, C, .Net on Linux and/or Windows
  • Can work in different aspects of software development and maintenance; from gathering user requirements to design, development, testing and maintenance
  • Knowledge of SQL, ETL, web services would be a plus
  • Ability to learn and adapt
  • Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally, with colleagues, scientists and other relevant parties
  • Proficiency in English is necessary
