GCIM – Head of Capabilities

Position description:
The Head of GCIM Capabilities will work with GCIM Lead to build on the success of the department and define a multichannel strategic roadmap for the team and the Lundbeck affiliates.
As an expert in multichannel marketing and communications, this individual will partner with brand teams in the HQ and affiliates across the value chain to conceptualize and develop key multichannel initiatives to best meet customer needs while ensuring measurable business impact.
The individual will provide strategic trends, partnerships, and other opportunities and cascade these down into strategic frameworks for team members and other functional partners to develop upon. Moreover, the Head of Capabilities will collaborate with the Head of Operations to ensure that all operational aspects of the team strategies are being run efficiently, effectively, and to the expectations of the other internal stakeholders.


  • Support the GCIM initiatives focusing on advancing Lundbeck’s customer interaction strategy and tactics across a mix of channels
  • Integrate new technologies and digital features into the value chain to maximize business value
  • Track and understand current and future digital trends, translating these trends into business needs and value-driving strategies
  • Support the introduction of webcast/webinar among affiliates – in combination with traditional face-to-face events and congresses experiences - in collaboration with the Head of Congress and Events
  • Partner with the global functions like brand teams, medical affairs, IT, Corporate Communication and Compliance to ensure the development of multichannel customer interaction strategies and solutions for Lundbeck brands and products, from pre-launch phase throughout the life cycle of the product
    • Support the global delivery of multichannel initiatives among affiliates together with Head of Ops and Head of CRM/Analytics
    • Support the motivation of a team of business partners to execute on the team vision and strategy through cross-functional collaboration

 Required knowledge, skills and abilities

  • A minimum of five years of demonstrable experience in digital marketing and communications strategy in the pharmaceutical sector
  • A passion for customer experience design and a proven track record of developing strategic and operational plans for multichannel campaigns
  • Understanding of event strategy and marketing to develop leading psychiatry and neurology congress and event online strategies
  • Understanding of how new technologies can be integrated into the pharmaceutical value chain to maximize business value
  • Expertise of key technological trends and how they apply to digital marketing and communications for the purposes of improving the overall customer experience
  • Solid project management skills in delivering complex projects in extensive organization with several stakeholders involved
  • Experience working proactively in a diverse multicultural environment
  • Demonstrable alignment to our Lundbeck company culture with the ability to dream big, continuously learn, have fun working with others, and be driven to meet highly ambitious goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in marketing, communications, engineering or equivalent leadership experience in digital marketing
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
